Apple's new iMac ultra efficient and super fine

The iMac has made a very noticeable entry in this keynote. The Mini iPad was not the only product offered. Apple surprises so with this "desktop in its most advanced form."

Since its launch in 1998, the iMac has really changed. Today, the screen is so thin that it is difficult to imagine that his ancestor looked like a huge block. Edges appear 5 mm, the iMac has been reduced by 40% compared to the previous generation. To do this, Apple has made engineering feats including inventing new technologies. The computer is much thinner, but the screen (21.5 to 27 inches) has lost nothing of its beauty and performance. Level measures, the reduction is also visible as the LCD (IPS) is 5 mm thinner. Apple also removed 2 mm between the glass and the LCD using the method "Lamination total." The latter offers a real advantage since the user has 75% less glare.

The iMac therefore offers unsurpassed performance. However, it is more energy efficient with 50% less when idle with the screen on. Careful to respect the environment, the computer is free of many toxic substances (arsenic, mercury ...). The iMac is made of glass and aluminum. A brand new storage option is offered "Fusion Drive". The new iMac proposes to associate a high capacity hard drive with a high-performance flash storage.

All performances are boosted with the latest Intel Quad Core i5 2.7 GHz clocked at 3.2 GHz. Consumers also have the ability to customize the power with an Intel Core i7 processor running at up to 3.4 GHz. The prices range between 1349 and 2049 euros.
