Huawei unveils world's largest smartphone


Chinese automaker introduced the Ascend Mate, a smartphone with a screen of 6.1 inches. We approach more tablet!


Huawei wants to impose on the market tabphones these devices halfway between tablet and smartphone. He has conquered with his share of Ascend Mate he has unveiled at the largest exhibition of consumer electronics, the CES in Las Vegas.

To dethrone Samsung's Galaxy Note 2, Huawei has focused on the size of the machine ... Ascend Mate has indeed a screen of 6.1 inches with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. This makes it the largest smartphone in the world. By comparison, the Note 2 has only a 5.5 inch screen, while the tablet Google Nexus 7 features a 7-inch screen. It also features the dimensions of 16.51 x 8.63 x 1 cm to 198 grams. It will therefore have very large paws to manipulate such a device.

Big battery also


Under the hull, there is a home Hi-processor Silicon quadcœur, clocked at 1.5 GHz, an 8-megapixel camera on the back and another 1 megapixel front. A huge 4050 mAh battery will power the smartphone led by Android 4.1. Chinese manufacturer promises that this autonomy of 13 hours call is provided (two days in normal use).

The Ascend Mate is available in black and white and will be available in China from February 2013. Huawei has not yet communicated its price or its availability.
